EVI-FTP

EVI-FTP is an EVI implementation of the File Transfer Protocol on a TCP/IP network using EVI's MRN-200/250. The EVI-FTP software provides file transfers between a MODCOMP and any FTP client or server.

The EVI-FTP provides file transfers to or from LIB and SED BIOS partitions or FMG data files which have a USL directory. File Manager files may be specified using the full file description with provision for transport, volume, directory and data files.

The standard FTP directory commands are implemented for File Manager directories, LIB and SED directories.

EVI-FTP supports both Server and Client modes with a total of twelve concurrent connections shared between the two modes. The Server is implemented as a single task supporting up to four simultaneous sessions. Clients are implemented as JM/JOB Control Shared Overlays which allow multiple copies to be executing simultaneously.

The EVI-FTP software requires the MRN-200/250 which provides a TCP/IP interface with minimal impact to the Host system. EVI-FTP is supported under the MAX IV operating systems from revision F.0 to the current and MAX 32 from revision B.0 to the current. The compatibility with older revisions of the operating systems and its minimal MAP 0 requirements make the EVI-FTP and the MRN-200/250 a cost effective product.
